Dental Care:

WE ALL learn as children the importance of looking after our teeth, but what about our pets?

It is equally as important for our puppies to have their teeth brushed right from the very start.

This is part of the looking after process and just as with grooming , it must be tackled with firmness but gentle kindness. It must be a pleasurable experience both for your puppy and you.I recommended using a proper doggy toothpaste such as CET poultry flavour. Start off by putting a little toothpaste onto your finger and letting puppy lick it off. Puppies usually take to this straight away Your puppy will associate your finger with a nice taste and very soon you will be able to rub the toothpaste all along the gum margins from front to back .

Because the toothaste contains a special enzyme to breakdown the plaque ,you don’t really need to do any hard scrubbing .Very soon your puppy will look forward to getting its teeth brushed Do this every day and you will be rewarded with a puppy that grows up to have tartar free teeth and healthy gums.

My dog Jess , a Border Collie loves to have her teeth cleaned .She is eleven years old and still has lovely clean teeth and fresh smelling breath.
